Papirni kostimi Izabel de Boršgrav

Belgijska umetnica Izabel de Boršgrav (Isabelle de Borchgrave) je po obrazovanju slikarka, ali se već više od decenije bavi izradom replika kostima u prirodnoj veličini. Među njenim delima su kostimi poznati sa slika evropskih renesansnih i baroknih umetnika, ali i kostimi iz muzejskih kolekcija i kolekcija visoke mode. Ono što njena dela čini posebno zanimljivim je to što je sve napravljeno od običnog papira, koga ona boji, obrađuje i slika, stvarajući iluziju tekstila i nakita.

U toku je izložba njenih radova u Hillwood Estate, Museum and Gardens, u Vašingtonu, D.C. Na ovoj izložbi, pod nazivom „Prêt-à-Papier“, mogu se videti kostimi ruskog cara Petra Velikog, francuske carice Žozefine, radovi inspirisani kreacijama Mariana Fortunija (Mariano Fortuny) i Čarlsa Frederika Vorta (Charles Frederick Worth), kao i, posebno za ovu izložbu napravljena, replika kostima sa slike „Kontesa Samoilova“, koja je vlasništvo Muzeja.

Prethodne serije radova Izabele de Boršgrav obuhvatale su kostime Medičijevih, rekonstrukcije kostima Ruskog baleta Sergeja Djagiljeva, mode Mariana Fortunija i kaftana. Takođe, radila je po naružbi pojedinih muzeja replike poznatih haljina u papiru (venčanica Džeki Kenedi za Muzej u Bostonu, kostimi Savojskog dvora za izložbu u Palaco Reale u Torinu i mnogi drugi).
